The finger never changes, it’s what’s in front of the finger that changes
There is a Buddhist teaching that says, “a finger pointing at the moon is not the moon itself.” I think about this everyday. When we point at something—retweet it, repost it, mention it—is it really about that thing? Or is it about ourselves?
